Exception to the take-back obligation:
However, the new information obligations do not apply to every distributor, but only to those distributors who are covered by the new take-back obligation under § 17 Section 1, 2 ElektroG. This take-back obligation only applies to distributors if they have a sales area for electrical and electronic equipment of at least 400 square metres. With regard to the online distributors relevant here, sales area in this sense means all storage and dispatch areas for electrical and electronic equipment. If an online retailer has storage and dispatch areas for electrical and electronic equipment of at least 400 square metres, it is subject to the take-back obligation under § 17 Abs. 1, 2 ElektroG and thus also (and only then) to the information obligations under  § 18 Abs. 2 ElektroG  vis-à-vis private households. (Source: https://www.it-recht-kanzlei.de)

These information obligations do not apply to us, as our sales and storage areas are less than 400 square metres in total. Nevertheless, we are informing you here for the sake of completeness and environmental protection.
